Awfull kupcake

“Horrible ”
I have travelled to various resorts in Cuba in the past. Therefore I was shocked by DonLino. I am not a picky person, and understand the economy and living conditions in Cuba. The room in general was acceptable, dirty floors, used soap, filthy windows etc, but very clean beds and linen. The food was pretty much un edible, again I am far from picky. The eggs were always undercooked and slimey. Absolutely no selection. Looked as though the food was recycled meal after meal. Bread was always stale. The dishes were dirty most of the time, or non exsistant. Staff was rude and didn't seem to like their job at all. I don't understand the reviews that people say the staff are so friendly. And yes I did tip...didn't make a difference at all. Bar staff would be to busy talking on their cell phone or fixing their make up or hair to serve you. When we arrived, we never even got a welcome hello let alone a welcome drink, that sunwing promises in their booking itinerary. No rum in the room, which again was promised by Sunwing. Our rep said they don't know why they promise that as they never have had it. We were also told by sunwing in writing that we could have late check out....another lie. You could get a late check out for a cost of one peso per person per hour. Two of the people that travelled on our flight, asked and paid for this as one of the people were disabled. Their power was shut off at noon...despite the late check out price being paid. Our AC worked well the first few days then stopped. While we were there the Resort overbooked twice, sending tourists to another resort with no notice, they approached several tourists on resort to try and get them to move resorts even...unacceptable. Bathrooms were filthy with no running water or toilet paper. Makes you wonder how the kitchen staff wash their hands. The beach was to full of coral and sea urchins to swim, but that's not the resorts fault. I was very impressed with pool guy Omar, he worked very hard and pool was always clean. The life guard was amazing as well and friendly. Entertainment was absent the entire trip. They advertised every day the fitness and dance lessons but never ever did them. I am deeply disappointed by DonLino and Sunwing. And yes I have been to a 2 and a half star before and loved it, so I am not unreasonable.
