Description: Islazul Plaza Hotel Cuba
Founded in the early 20th century in Camagüey, the Hotel Plaza is the oldest working hotel in the city. It still maintains most of its original architecture. Site of an obligatory visit in the city, this facility is proud to have once welcomed Chilean poet Gabriela Mistral as a guest and as a curiosity, the hotel was also the site of the first broadcast of a Cuban radio station outside of Havana. Intimate and appealing, this hotel is known for the friendly treatment by its employees and by its excellent geographical location, at the intersection of the city’s two main streets and just a few meters away from its commercial hub. 67 air-conditioned rooms with private bath, radio and satellite TV. Others: restaurant, snack bar, bar, mail service, shop, central security box, currency exchange and car rental.

“Worst hotel we went to in Cuba ”
Not even worth reviewing, do not book yourself and make sure your travel agency doesn't use this hotel as replacement if othere are fully booked
“A Dump”
We were on a 10 day flydrive holiday in Cuba. The plaza was by far the worst hotel we encountered. The staff were sullen, The room was very basic and not particularly clean. The food was grim. The hotel itself is dark and seedy and is in a poor location. Parking is on the street outside and you have to pay a guy to mind you car. Not recommended.
